Gingerbread
2 1/2 cups flour
1 tsp cinnamon
2 tsp powdered ginger
1 tsp ground cloves
1/2 cup butter, softened
1/2 cup sugar
1 cup dark molasses
2 tsp baking soda
1 cup boiling water
2 eggs, slightly beaten
Procedure:
You have to preheat your oven at 350. Grease and flour at an 8" square pan.
Mix the flour, cinnamon, ginger and cloves then after that sift the mixture onto a piece of waxed paper.
Put the butter in a large bowl or any bowl which enough for mixing until it will become creamy. Add some sugar and molasses, continue beating until it is well blended. Combine the baking soda and the boiling water at the same time add sugar to butter mixture and mixed it well. Add the flour mixture and beat until smooth. Add also the eggs then beat and beat.
Pour it into prepared pan and bake for 45-55 minutes or until you will observe that the toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Let this one cool in pan for 5 minutes, then turn on a grid.
You can serve it cold or warm. It is reaaly good if you add a little whipped cream on top!
